My light
Like a pearl in the sky
My lamp in the night
Her rays shine on me
Giving me great might.

Sitting in the dark
Deep in my sadness
She gives me hope
Frees me from madness

What do I offer
In return for her love?
I forget and ignore her
I'm in need of a shove.

A gentle push
Towards the right way
Back on the path
To never again stray.

She's helped me again
The powerful moon
Body, mind and soul
Now forever in tune.

**A Note from the author**

Yes, it's been awhile since my last post...but that's the way inspiration is...that and i've been really busy with work! Leaves me with less time to think! :)
Thanks again to all who have signed my guestbook! I appreciate the feedback....especially since all of it is good! =D

Regards,
Draxenn

Alone with a call
The telephone rings
He jumps from the chair
Looking with caution
He shakes from the scare.

Approaching the phone
His fingers extend
To take the receiver
And speak into one end.

“H-Hello?” he says softly
“Is anyone there?”
Nobody answers him
He pretends not to care.

“Goodbye, you jerk”
He hangs up the phone
Then gets the feeling
That he isn’t alone.

The phone rings again
He picks it up quickly
His mother replies
Sounding quite sickly.

She’s going to be late
Returning to the house
He should order some food
She felt like a louse.

Feeling relieved
He picks up the phone
But to his chagrin
There is no dial tone.

A high piercing voice
Echoes through the night
The boy drops the phone
The boy dies from fright.

Mother returns later
To find her son dead
She phones the police
And smiles in her head.
